Lauren Morgan (Elizabeth Seton)
One of the WCAC's finest track and field athletes in Lauren Morgan will make her season debut this weekend in Virginia as a top entrant in the 55 meter dash (7.18 PR) and 300 meter dash (39.59). Morgan could challenge the meet record of 39.94 in the 300 meter dash set in 2014 by Oscar Smith's Destiny Ward.
In last year's Real Deal Classic, Morgan was a runner-up in the 55 meter dash finals with a 7.24 clocking, while won the 300 meter dash with a 40.10 performance. She will be racing against against last year's Real Deal 55 meter dash winner Maya Seay of Maury (VA). Over the outdoor season, Morgan improved her 100 and 200 meter times down to 11.72 and 24.02 respectively, which ranks her among Maryland's fastest returning individual sprinters.
Morgan is a 6-time WCAC individual champion in the 100 and 200 meter dash and likely be featured on some of the the Elizabeth Seton relays this weekend at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. She signed with the University of Michigan last month.
