We're only one week into the 2016-17 winter season and have already seen some spectacular performances from the state of Maryland. Check out the boys leaders in all primary track and field events one week into the 2016-17 indoor season!

McNamara's Xavier Williams kicked off his indoor season early last weekend at the Real Deal High School Classic down in Virginia and set an impressive time to beat in the 55 dash at 6.43. It was a big PR for the senior whose best time in the event last year was 6.58 at the Ed Bowie Invitational.

Northwest's Josh Netterville finds himself at the top of the leaderboard in both the 300 meter dash and the long jump - he is the only boy so far to have cleared 22 feet. He also ran a leg on the state-leading 4x200 team at MCPS Meet #2. His teammate Robert Gicheru also leads Maryland in the high jump.
