Girls 4x800 Relay

Only one team (Damascus) ran sub-10:00 in the 4x800 in December, so there will be plenty of teams seeking to become the next one. Northern-Calvert, who owns the MD #2 mark, has come the closest, having run 10:04.97 already this season. Both Atholton and Urbana have enough depth to challenge the 10:00 mark as well.

The top teams to watch, however, will be the ones from down south in Virginia. The Chantilly girls enter with a season best time of 10:03.18 (good enough for #9 in Virginia). The West Springfield girls ran 10:22 at the F.I.T. Invitational and have the pieces to run even faster. The Patriot girls - led by senior star Rachel McArthur, who has clocked a 2:49.80 1000 this season - could also go well under 10 minutes in their season 4x800 debut.
