Post-race interview with Dalton Hengst after mile victory at VA Showcase
Team Maryland was well represented this past weekend at the first ever event hosted at Liberty University's brand spanking new 200 meter hydraulic banked indoor track for the VA Showcase. One of the top performers happened to be McDonogh School sophomore Dalton Hengst, who won the mile on Friday in a season best time of 4:18 then doubled back to place runner-up to US #1 ranked Brandon McGorty in the 800 on Saturday in a new indoor PR of 1:55.54.

On the season, Hengst is now ranked nationally #6 in the 800, #4 in the 1600, #7 in the mile, and #1 in the 3200. Watch his 800 indoor PR above from the VA Showcase.
