The final weekend of September finally brought some fall weather to the area, but many teams weren't able to compete. Many who did went out of state, including both the McDonogh and North Hagerstown boys. Dalton Hengst made history at the Paul Short Invitational on Friday afternoon, and North Hagerstown's Nate Neely dropped a personal-best performance at the Carlisle Invitational on Saturday. Neely won the Champions Race and his 15:51 PR places him second on the 3A state leaderboard after this weekend.
