Kasargod was a top-ten finisher at last year's 3A East regional meet, but her track performances suggest she could be one of the top runners in Howard County this year as a junior. She captured her first regional title in the 3200 and then clocked a personal-best 5:24 1600 - the eighth-fastest time in the entire county this spring - at regionals as well. With an influx of Howard County teams coming back to the 3A East region this fall, Kasargod carrying that improvement back to the course would be huge for the Raiders.
