McKenna was the Seahawks' seventh runner at the 4A East regional meet last fall, but she became one of their top runners during the spring. Her 11:53 3200 led the team and her 5:35 1600 was third. The South River girls enter the 2019 season a hair below the three top 4A East squads (Severna Park, Howard and Broadneck) in virtual and composite rankings, but have the depth to close that gap come September.
