The defending 4A state champions will be loaded again this fall, and two of their top track performers could play big roles in their title defense. Neither Sophia Zell (top) nor Brenna Mullaney (bottom) ran at the state meet in cross country, but both found their stride during the track season, especially in the 800. Both scored at the state meet, and were on the victorious 4x800 relay. While the Falcons only graduate one of their six runners from last fall's state meet, there is never a such thing as too much depth, especially as Howard and Broadneck look strong heading into 2019.
