The top teams in Montgomery County at the moment can generally be split into two groups: those in the 4A West region, and those in the 4A North region. 2019 was a strong year for the latter, featuring the county's top two teams (Northwood and Blair), two more in the top eight (Sherwood and Springbrook) and a fifth (Paint Branch) that finished the year strong, finishing as the county's sixth-best team at the 4A state championships. Will this be the year 4A West strikes back? In our virtual meet, the highest-ranking team out of 4A North (Sherwood) comes in at sixth place.
Top Returners from Last Year's Meet
Only four of the top 14 boys from the 2019 championships are back, highlighting last year's impressive group of seniors. Two teams, Walter Johnson and Winston Churchill, have multiple runners on the list below.
