Northwest comes into the Montgomery County Championships as the slight favorite. They lead in the projected scores with 85 points to Montgomery Blair's 51. The battle for second place could be VERY close as there are 5 teams (Richard Montgomery, Winston Churchill, Quince Orchard, Montgomery Blair, and Magruder) that are only separated by 10.5 points.

Gage Osbourne will try to score big points in the distance events as he can place in the 800, 1600, and 3200. Northwest also scores big points in several key events. Antonio Berry is the top seed in the Long Jump, Paul X. Rivers leads all throwers in the shot-put, and David Meldorf has the top seed in the Pole Vault. Earning 30 points in these 3 events would go a long way for Northwest to win the team title. 

Roberto Terrell (Quince Orchard) is an athlete to watch as he is one of the best Jumpers and Hurdlers in the state, and depending on which events he runs, can score close to 40 points by himself. 

On the distance side, Colin Abrams (Magruder) is the favorite to win both the 500 and 800-meter runs and Noah Fisher (Richard Montgomery) has had an excellent year and has the ability to score big points in all 3 distance events. Scroll below to see both the projected team scores and the top individuals in each event.
