The Catoctin men's team is projected to take the regional championship home with approximately 146 points. The Cougars are led by the nation's top sprinter in the 55m dash Brody Buffington, who is projected to score 20 points individually (via the 55m and 300m). Alongside Buffington, The 1A State Cross Country Champion Alexander Contreras is projected to score 28 points from the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m for the Cougars. In addition, Furious Trammel is projected to score 18 points from the 500m and 300m. The projected runner-up is Smithsburg with a predicted score of 99.25 points. The Leopards are led by Cameron Rejonis who looks to grab a win in the 800m run, as well as points in the 500m and 300m, and Liam Fisher in the 500m, 1600m, and 800m.
