The Gator Invitational has grown into the biggest regular season meet in Maryland. With close to 75 teams each year it always makes for an extremely competitive meet. It has always been scheduled for the same week as Penn Relays. While some schools will have relay teams or individuals compete at Penn's, a lot of schools remain in Maryland for this Mega Meet. Meet Director Phil Rogers does an excellent job running a large meet very efficiently. This is also the last big weekend before championship meets start, so teams and individuals are always looking to improve season PRs!
Friday Night offers the Emergeing Elite Invitational. This day is only open to current freshmen and sophomores and acts almost as an underclassmen championship meet. Athletes who may not get the headlines as some of their upperclassmen teammates, get the chance to shine here.
Note: Teams can sign up for Emerging Elite and Gator together, or only attend 1 day if they choose to.
