Gilman comes into the Red and White race as the favorites. The Greyhounds have a strong core led by Jemmel Greene who will be one of the individual favorites. Poly will also be in contention for the team win as they have run well this year and are coming off a second-place finish in the Medium division last week at Bull Run. Calvert Hall will be running in this race but they will be running some of thier JV runners as thier Varsity will be down in North Carolina for the Great American Invite.

Boys Red and White Individual Preview

Jemmel Green (Gilman) and Eric Penkala (Southern-AA) look to be the favorites for the boy's Red and White Race. Green has only raced at one invite this year and that was the first weekend of the year at Seahawk, but he ran well placing 4th with a time of 15:41. Penkala has run well several times this season including winning the Bull Run Small School Division last week. Expect both runners to be near each other with 400m to go. 

Chasing them will be Owen Infante (South River), Dean Solomon (Bishop McNamara), and Logan Weaver (Bel Air) who all have had a solid first half of thier cross-country season. 

A sleeper to watch out for is Reservoir's Kidus Zeleke. A little under the radar this year Zeleke has the talent to run with anyone in this field and this might be the meet for him to do it!
