The Large school boys race was a 2 man duel for the individual title. Ricky Flynn of Damascus was pushing the pace early trying to drop Dwight Parker of Woodlawn. Coming into to the dip for the first time Flynn had built about a 10 meter lead. Coming back through the dip Parker had made up the distance and began to put distance on Flynn going up the dip to the finish. In the end Flynn try to mount a comeback, but Parker had enough to hold him off. In the team race it turned into a 2 team battle between Wilde Lake and Richard Montgomery. Wilde Lake put alot of runners in early, but had to wait to see where there 5 th runner was to find out if they had won. In the end Wilde Lake had just enough to hold off Richard Montgomery 72 to 88.
In the girls race Marissa McPhail of Arundel took the lead early and never looked back by the time she came out of the dip her lead had grown to almost a minute. With the individual race over it came down to 2 Howard county schools for the title Centennial girls easily outdid the Wilde Lake girls 89 to 135.
