Bullis picks up right where they left off last year as the best team in Maryland, and possibly the United States. The Bulldogs have incredible depth in the sprints and field events. Sydney Sutton has run 37.3 for 300m and 7.18 for 55m. Kennedy Flynn has run 7.91 in the 55m Hurdles and has jumped 16-10, and Morgan Rothwell has run 56 seconds in the 400m and 1:13 in the 500. They have run 1:37 in the 4x200 and 3:43 in the 4x400, both state leading times and it's not even close. It will be fun to watch how they run throughout this season.

With the help from some transfers Woodlawn is very strong this year and will be the favorite to win the 4A State title. Nikiyah Williams has run 40.6 for 300m and 1:17 for 500m. Arayana Ladson has run 7.24 for 55m and 8.18 for 55m Hurdles Destiny Coleman has run 8.17 for the 55m Hurdles. They have also run 1:42 for the 4x200.

The Cooper’s, Ella Elena, and Elise, have started the season strong and if running multiple events immediately make McDonogh a likely favorite in any meet they attend. Elise is one of the top sprinters in the nation and has run 6.91 for 55m and 38.0 for 300m. Elena has run 7.62 for 55m and jumped 18-8 in the Long, and Ella has run 7.31 for 55m and 39.8 in the 300m. In the distance events Mary Gorsky has run 5:13 and 11:25 for 1600m and 3200m so far this season.

Amber Wimbush has demonstrated she is one of the top athletes in the state this year as she has run 40.0 for 300m, 1:15 for 500m, and 2:15 for 800. Sophia Gaskins has run 7.39 for 55m, and McNamara has put together strong relays this year, running 1:44 for 4x200 and 3:57 for 4x400.

Spalding returns two of the top athletes in the state in Athena Stith and Jalaia Creary. Stith has long jumped 19-9 and triple jumped 37-4 so far this season. Creary has run 7.16 in the 55m and 40.5 in the 300m. They have also run a blistering 1:41 in the 4x200 as well.

Jaelynn Blackwell will lead the team and has run 8.40 in the 55m Hurdles and High Jumped 5-04. Victoria Ogunniyi has jumped 16-7 in the long and 35-5 in the triple. They have also run strong relay times with a 1:45 in the 4x200 and 4:09 in the 4x400.

OM has depth everywhere and will score in almost every event. Valerie Ashamu has run 43.8 in the 300m and jumped 5-04 in the high. Alicia Hall has jumped 17-04 in the long and 37-7 in the triple. Frankie Moore has run 5:18 and 11:38 in the 1600 and 3200. Wilde Lake Transfer Shania Staats ran 7.39 in the 55m and long jumped 17-11.

The distance duo of Claire Sivitz and Kiley Mann will be a huge asset to the Lions. Sivitz has run 5:13 and 11:12 for 1600 and 3200 this season, Mann has run 5:13 and 11:39 this season. Sydney Rhodes has run 7.23 in the 55m and freshman Ava Carr has jumped 5-02 in the High.

Sylvia Snider has run 5:16 for 1600m and 11:21 for 3200. Her teammate Rebekka Hillier has run 5:19 and 11:20 for the same distances. Eliza fox has cleared 5-02 in the high. The Bulls have an impressive county championship streak that will be put to the test by Woodlawn this year.

The Virmani twins have the ability to score massive points in multiple distance events. Lauren has run 5:10 for 1600, 11:12 for 3200, and 2:20 for 800 this season. Marella has run 5:26 and 2:23 so far this season. Both girls ran under 5 minutes for 1600 last season so look for these times to continue to improve.

The Wildcats will lean on Megan and McKenzie Raue to score big points in the distance events. Megan has run 5:12 for 1600m and 2:24 for 800m this season and McKenzie has run 5:18 for 1600m and 11:28 for 3200m. They also have the ability to team up and throw down a fast 4x800 as well!

Gabby Cope is the best thrower in the state and has thrown 41-1 so far this season. She is likely to repeat as State Champion again this year. Gentry Bowie continues to be a strong distance runner for the patriots and has run 5:17 for 1600m and 2:23 for 800m so far this season.

Urbana is great at getting lots of athletes qualified for regionals and states and will likely do the same this year. Bailey Smith has cleared 10-0 in the Pole Vault this season, Janine Amefia has jumped 37-11 in the Triple, and Divine Bamgboye has run 7.46 for 55m and 8.64 for 55m Hurdles.

Kendall Hall and Aniyah Toppin are having fantastic seasons. Hall has run 40.8 for 300m and 1:18 for 500m. Toppin has run 7.37 for 55m, and jumped 18-6 in the Long and 37-11 in the triple.

Tressia Davis is one of the best athletes in the state. So far she has run 39.4 for 300m, 8.55 for 55m Hurdles, 7.13 for 55m dash, and 1:16 for the 500m. Depending on how many events she runs she may single handedly win some meets for Friendly.
