BOYS

Team Preview: Hereford will enter the meet as a slight favorite. They are projected to score 52 points, 9 points more than projected runner-up Westlake and La Plata. Wilde Lake will also be in the mix with a projected 40 points. Hereford will lean on their two standout long sprinters in Jake Weakland who can medal in the 500 and 800, and Ben Wheeler who is the favorite in the 300 and 500. They will most likely team up on two relays as well. 

Westlake and La Plata will focus more on the short sprints and relays where they are stronger in order to try to upset the Bulls. 

Athletes to Watch:

Eric Penkala (Southern AA) vs Ben Marks (Queen Annes) - These two will go head to head in the 1600 and 3200 which should make for very exciting races. They both can go under 4:20 in the 1600 and under 2:00 in the 800. Penkala is also scheduled to race the 3200 as well. 

Ben Wheeler (Hereford) - As mentioned above Wheeler is the favorite in both the 300 and 500 and will try to walk away with multiple gold medals. 

High Jump - There are 6 athletes with season PR's between 6-03 and 6-05 which should make for a very exciting and competitive event.
