3A and 4A Region Previews

4A North:

Boys: The team title should go to Dulaney with Thomas Johnson and Westminster battling for the runner-up spot. The individual race should be Dwight Parker of Woodlawn against Marshal Lawrence of Thomas Johnson, Jesse Jaeger and Adam Sierakowski of Perry Hall. Look for the Dulaney pack to be very close also.

Girls: Dulaney once again should be the class of the field. Westminster should finish 2nd. The individual race should go to Trisha Repsher of Westminster look for Dulaney\'s freshman duo of Emma Larkin and Kelly Rush to be there also.

4A West:

Boys: Traditionally one of the stronger regions in the state. A big individual battle will take place in this region. Andrew Jesien of Walter Johnson, Zach Martinez and Ryan Janes of Gaithersburg, and don\'t forget Ricky Flynn of Damascus. The team race should go to Gaithersburg, but a host of others could steal it. Whitman, Sherwood, Walter Johnson, Damascus, and Richard Montgomery all have strong teams.

Girls: Once again a huge individual battle in this region. The Sinclair sisters from Blair, Michelle Levy and Veronica Salcido of Wooton, Allison King of Churchill and Julie Plevin of Whitman will all do battle for this one. Halsey Sinclair has not been beaten by a Md girl all year so I\'ll go with her. The team race should come down to Quince Orchard\'s pack versus Whitman and Churchill.

4A South:

By far the weakest region as far as depth goes. What is at the top is very competitive though. Eleanor Roosevelt should walk through this region. Dominique Lockhardt and Mikalis Gelagae should both take this one.

4A East:

Boys: This region should go to Broadneck both on the boys and girls sides. Matt Centrowitz should take the boys. Tait Woodward of Broadneck will battle Marissa McPhail of Arundel, watch for Emily Nagle of Broadneck she ran well here early.

3A North:

Boys: A rematch of last weeks Harford County Championships. Bel Air edged CMW, but CMW has beaten Bel Air once also. It will be close. The individual race should come down to Brett Kelly of Bel Air and Julius Coleman of Mervo.

Girls: CMW girls should take this one. The individual race is one to watch as many girls in this region have a shot at being top 10 in the state. Allison Barnes, Kelli Buck, Sara Bailey, Megan Ravenscraft, and Danielle Burcham of CMW, Lauren Capone of Towson, Michelle Donadio of Franklin, Erin Phelan of Catonsville, and Sarah Zader of Bel Air will all be in the lead pack.

3A West:

Boys: This region has produced the last 3 state champions. Look for Northwest and Urbana to go at it. The individual race should go to Matt Logie of Northwest.

Girls: Once again Northwest should take this one. Urbana will give them a serious run though. The individual race is up in the air. The leading contenders are: Rachel Forcino of Northwest, Megan Andrews and Emily Bartlett of BCC, Amy Watson of North Carroll, and Jenna Sprague and Emma Cordani of Urbana.

3A South:

Boys: This one is really up in the air. Teamwise it is anyone\'s game. Any of these teams could take it. Northeast maybe the early favorite. Will Eden of Annapolis should win the individual race.

Girls: Severna Park should take this one. Leonardtown should be in the mix as well. The individual race should come down to Keely Murphy of Northern and Liya Kasimova of Severna Park.

3A East:

Boys: Should be a rematch of the Howard County Championships. River Hill is looking to regain their early season dominance and Wilde Lake is looking to avenge last weeks loss. The individual race should go to Segey Zubko of River Hill.
