Review: HCS Preseason Meet

The race was led from the start by College Park Graduate Mike Styczynski. From the first step he was ahead of the crowd of runners and crossed the line in 17:08. Atholton High School definitely had the best duo in the meet, placing junior Andrew Revelle 2nd in 18:02 and newly incoming freshman Graham Bazell placed 5th in 18:41.

The course was a little different this year, having a different loop in the middle of the course and a small addition right at the end. Of course, the course is virtually unchangeable because, as OM Coach Phil Lang said, \"When a course has been around for 30 years, there\'s not much you can do to change it.\"

The rest of the top ten was as follows:
3rd - Reservoir graduate Ben Thomas - 18:05
4th - OM Coach and HCS Summer Coach Phil Lang - 18:21
6th - Junior Jonah Meyers (OM) - 19:09
7th - OM Graduate and U of Delaware sophomore Craig Lebro - 19:10
8th - Reservoir senior captain Brian Pettit - 19:23
9th - Noah Wood - 19:36
10th - Jason Harman - 20:31

All in all, this is a very successful annual race, and I encourage everyone to come out next year for a good fitness test before practice starts!
