Ryan Janes has been a very strong runner all year, and there is no indication that he is ready to leave the top spot in Montgomery County yet. However, Aougab and Barnard should be right on his heels. Janes and Aougab have faced off twice this year at a quad meet (16:27 - 16:41) and William and Mary (15:33 - 15:50). Janes and Barnard have only met once this season, with Janes beating Barnard by 4 seconds at Bull Run (17:18 - 17:22). Chris Bowie and Elias Tousley have been a dynamic duo this year, finishing right next to each other in almost every meet this year while posting superb times. The Sherwood team has been really good this year, prevaling by a large margin in the Bull Run Large race and at the Lancer Invite. Quince Orchard also has a good pack that could help them prevail in the meet.

Halsey Sinclair won both the Howard County Invite and the William and Mary Invite this year, setting her up nicely for another victory at the county meet. Louise Hannallah has posted solid times for this season, running a county leading 19:06 5k at the Barnhart Invite. Emma Eckerstrom of Northwest is second on the mdrunners.com 5k rankings, coming in at 19:13 at the Paul Short Invite. Veronica Salcido is also another great threat in Montgomery County, having run a 19:24 5k at the Maymont Cross Country Festival. Neither of the top 5 girls in these rankings have faced each other yet this season, so it should be an informative race.
