When Justin Ahalt emailed us to tell us he had chosen Alabama, we sent him an email with some questions and here are his responses:
Why did you choose Alabama?
I chose Alabama because they have a very competitive engineering program as well as a great track program. The dedication from the school to the track program is incredible. They do their best to give the athletes the best treatment possible.
What if any other schools were you considering?
I considered Maryland, Clemson, Virginia Tech and Villanova.
What are your college running goals?
My biggest goal is to qualify for the NCAA D1 cross country championships.
What are you most looking forward to experiencing at such a big school with a great athletic tradition?
I am looking forward to football gameday in Tuscaloosa! I went to a football game during my official visit and it was incredible. I can't wait to be a part of the action every week.
How do you hope to finish out indoors and what are your goals for outdoor?
My goal for this season is to win either the 16 or 32 at states as well as earning all-american status at New Balance Nationals. For outdoor, my goal is to break the state meet record in the 3200 set by Solomon Halie.
Roll Tide!
