Linganore HS participated in the Bald Eagle Invitational in Lock Haven, PA on Friday night, and did a fantastic job. They finished 2nd, garnering 114 points, only 6 points behind the winning team. Linganore\'s women really packed a punch, successful behind wins from Chowan Brightful in the 100m H (16.17), a meet record 57.83 400m from Melissa Turowski in the 400m, and from freshman Amanda Yates in the Long Jump (16-09.25).
Linganore also won the 4x1 (50.08) and 4x4 (4:07) relays.
Linganore had other medal winners, including a bronze from Lauren Quinn in the 200m (26.22), silver (Natalie Goodman - 36-00.25) and bronze (Chowan Brightful - 33-07.25) in the triple jump, and another Bright silver medal with a 5 foot high jump. Kim Maley rounded out Linganore\'s top 3 finishers, getting a bronze in the shotput with a throw of 34 feet, 0.25 inches. All in all, Linganore did an amazing job against out of state teams.
