Miles Smith was in hot pursuit of Liberty's anchor leg in the 2A boys 4x800 with his 1:55 open 800 prowess. Smith was able to make up 8 second gap going into final 100 meters, but Liberty's anchor stopped him in his tracks then. Watch this crazy finish!

Three of Maryland's best middle distance runners in Dalton Hengst, Miles Smith, and Gerald Amobi faced off in the 800 meter run at the McNamara Mustangs Invitational and it was the sophomore Hengst kicking his way to a state leading time.

Check out the boys results merge from the 2A regionals held this past week. Miles Smith was a double winner at the 2A East Regional in the 1600 and 800 and hopes to be be a double state champion next Monday in both events as well. Smith had the fastest times from the regionals of 4:37 in the 1600 and 2:00 in the 800.
