Baltimore Sun Boys Athlete of the Week: Kevin Corbusier Nov 8, 2011

The senior won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference cross country title last week in what's believed to be the third-fastest time in meet history. Corbusier finished in 15 minutes, 52 seconds on the Oregon Ridge course to lead the No. 1 Dons to their third straight team title. A second-team All-Metro selection last fall, Corbusier this season set a course record at Herring Run along with teammate Mike Wegner, who crossed at the same time, and scored victories in the Barnhart Invitational at Dulaney and the Peter Geraghty Invitational at Mount St. Mary's. He also turned in the top time by a local runner in finishing third in the boys' elite race at Hereford's Bull Run Invitational. With a 3.49 GPA, he is considering offers from Maryland and Bucknell among others. Corbusier will run in the Nike Cross Nationals Southeast Regional meet Nov. 26 in Cary, N.C. (via baltimoresun.com)
