A total of six state bests performances were recorded over the Holiday week with two major meets being hosted at Thursday\'s CVTF Winter Clinic Invite at the Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond, Virginia and Friday\'s F.I.T. Invitational at the Prince George County Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland. Top performance of the week belonged to Sean Holston of Robert E. Lee as the defending AAA 300 meter state champion at F.I.T. ran a US #1 500 meter time of 1:03.93 in his debut in the event.

Time has to rank fairly highly among top all-time unbanked 500 meter times. Holston blitzed the new event from the start with a 36 second first 300 meters and dipping under 50 seconds at 400 meters.
