***IMPORTANT: GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS***

Below we cover the meet requirements as determined by Frederick and Montgomery County Parks & Rec for their approval of us to host youth XC meets for the 2020 season in this time of Covid-19. If Parks & Rec deem that we are not being responsible to the rules below, we may be a one-and-done season.

Please, adhere to the rules below and remember, we are doing this for the kids!

Please share this with your team and all participating parents/kids.

Okay, so here we go:

* Event Covid-19 Waiver (see below). Parents of all registered runners MUST sign the Covid-19 Liability Waiver. All waivers are to be collected by the head coach or official representative of each team and turned over to the meet director prior to the start of the meet. Any runner who we do not have a meet waiver for will not be allowed to run. NO EXCEPTIONS. There will be no meet waivers at the meet for signature.

* No tents. This means no team tents. No family tents, no tents. None. Whatsoever. If anyone brings a tent, you will be instructed and required to remove it. If you choose not to remove your tent, the Frederick and/or Montgomery County police will be contacted, and you will be removed from the event. Absolutely NO exceptions.

* No 1K race group. Tommi-Leigh stated to me that Parks & Rec is very concerned about the close proximity contact with children under the age of six and that adding with them having to run with adults they feel is dangerous and will not be allowed. However, the 1K race will be offered at Damascus two meets. They are in Montgomery County and have approval to conduct a 1K race with NO PARENTS. That race will take place at the end of the official meet, and will be hand-timed. There will be a rabbit for the kids to follow.

* Races are to be age-group staggered. This means that each group of runners is to report at a specific time of the day to run their race as specified on the meet flier. This means that each age bracket is to report, run their race, and then leave. Please pay close attention to your age bracket race time. Please have your kids report to the start line approximately 5 minutes prior to race start.

* NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. None, so do not ask.

* Awards will be collected at the end of the meet by an official representative of each team.

* If anyone (coaches, parents, kids, volunteers) are not able to maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, masks are advisable to be worn.
