Welcome to the Ed Bowie Invitational 2022!!!

Deadline for Payment is Friday, December 2, 2022 at 5pm.

Deadline for entries is Sunday, December 4, 2022 at midnight.

There are no more teams slots available for the meet.  Thank you for those teams who were able to obtain a slot. We aren't accepting anymore more teams.

Entry Process:

Registration: The Ed Bowie Invitational is password restricted. To receive the password, please email me at kwashington904@gmail.com. The limit for out-of-county teams is 15 - 16. This is first-come, first-serve. These teams spots will fill up extremely fast. Once the 15 - 16 team spots are filled there will be no more teams accepted into the meet!!!

Entry Fees: $400 for both genders, $250 for one gender. Teams are only allowed 15 individuals entries total per gender, Relays are given. Events limits are in parentheses!!!!



Sanctioning: The Ed Bowie Invitational is a sanctioned meet for Maryland and bordering states: DC, DE, and VA.

Field Events/Number of Entries: (3 attempts/9 back to final - take note, you cannot go over 15 individual entries per gender) - first attempt will be measured, then athletes must meet the minimum standard)

Shot Put: (2) - Boys first, then Girls (Minimum Distance: Girls - 27ft, Boys - 37ft)

High Jump: (2) - Girls first, then Boys (Starting Heights: Girls - 4'4", Boys - 5'4")

Long Jump: (2) - Boys first, then Girls (Minimum Distance: Girls - 14ft, Boys - 18ft)

Triple Jump: (2) - Girls first, then Boys (Minimum Distance: Girls - 27ft, Boys - 37ft)

Pole Vault Vault: (2) - Boys first, then Girls (Starting Heights: Girls - 6'6", Boys - 8'6")

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for each of the events



General Information:

Address: Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex - 8001 Sheriff Rd, Landover, MD 20785

Entry to the Sportsplex will begin at 8:00am, the coaches meeting will begin at 8:30am and the first event will begin at 9:00am. All Athletes and coaches must enter through the lower entrance in the back of the Sportsplex.

Teams will be directed there upon arrival.

Food and Drink: The PG Sportsplex has a wide variety of food and drinks available for sale and numerous concession stands will be open. However, no food or drinks may be taken out of the stands.

Support: A paramedic and/or athletic trainer will be on site throughout the meet.

Spikes: All competition areas are Mondo surfaces and only 1.4" pyramid spikes are acceptable. All athletes must have their spikes checked by meet officials before competing. Spikes are not allowed to be worn in the stands for any reason. Any athlete willfully disregarding this request will be scratched from further competition.
