Davis wins, PA 1-2-3 in IG 100 as lots of PA athletes get 2nds at USATF Youth Champs in MD Don Rich Jul 2, 2004

Running for the River City Elite, Charelise Davis took the Intermediate Girls 100 in 12.20. Second was Clarenceshell Tate in 12.22, running for the Mt. Airy TC. And Uniontown\'s Breehana Jacobs, running unattached, was 3rd in 12.39. All ran into a -0.9 headwind. Davis was also 3rd in the 200, going 24.84. In other IG action, Natalie Clickett, a Union City sophomore, captured 2nd in the Discus with a throw of 131-09 on her last throw of the prelims. McDowell frosh, Alexandra Acker, who lives in NY, was 2nd in the Pole Vault, clearing 10-04. Mt. Airy TC\'s Jaleeca Jacobs ran 10:39.10 to take 2nd in the IG 3000. In the 200, Charelise Davis of River City Elite TC took 3rd in 24.84; while in the 400 Hurdles, Brianna Broyles of the Mt. Airy TC was 3rd in 1:03.68. The Mt. Airy IG 4x100 took 2nd in 48.46. In Intermediate Boys competition, Travon Rainford of Mt. Airy TC, was 2nd in the 3000 in 9:06.92. Two Philly clubs went 2-3 in the boys 4x800, with PhatBack Athletics getting 2nd in 8:10.16, and Morris Estate taking 3rd in 8:24.87. YouthIn the Youth Girls action, Ambler\'s Taylor Bumpus went 2:18.32 to get 2nd in the 800. In Youth Boys action, Mt. Airy\'s Shawn David, went 20-00.25 to take 2nd in the Long Jump. Mt. Airy\'s Dareem David took a 3rd in the Boys\' 400 in 51.24 and a 4th in the 100 in 11.64. Mt. Airy took 2nd in the 4x400 in 3:40.59. Young Women/Young MenIn the Young Women\'s 800, Shadae Downer took 2nd in 2:14.81. In the Young Men\'s Pole Vault, Brian Dodds cleared 14-09 to take 2nd.
