The SMAC Championships will now be contested this Friday, January 29th starting at 9 AM from the PG County Sports & Learning Center in Landover, Maryland. The meet had originally been scheduled for last Thursday morning, but snow and schools being closed for that day for many of the counties that make up the SMAC forced the meet to be pushed back to a later date.
The meet will have to roll fast and finish before 1:30 PM with the IAAM/MIAA League Championships (starting at 3:40 PM) to be held later on Friday at the PG Sportsplex as well. Will be a busy Friday of track at PG after so many days of the facility sitting idle due to the recent blizzard.
