Highlights:

  • The Howard boys distance crew impressively averaged 4:37 a leg in the 4x1600 meter relay to win in a meet and school record time of 18:28 to win the race by well over a minute. They added another relay win later in the DMR in 11:12.
  • The Atholton and Howard girls exchanged wins in the distance relays with the Atholton girls winning the 4x1600 in 22:22 for a 8 second margin of victory, while the Howard girls claimed the DMR victory later in 11:14. Atholton girls tallied 3 relay wins on the day though adding first place finishes in the 4x400 (4:17.32) and 1600 SMR (4:31.75).
  • Centennial junior Elijah White won both horizontal jumps with a leap of 19'7" in the long jump and an even better mark of 45'6.75" to take first in the triple jump.
  • The Reservoir girls had a pair of relay wins with their 4x200 (1:47.64) narrowly edging out Wilde Lake (1:47.84), while running away with first in the shuttle hurdles in 57.75 clocking.
  • Wilde Lake boys and girls swept the 4x100 meter relays posting times of 45.80 for the boys and 50.92 for the girls. 
  • River Hill pulled off a similar sweep in the 4x800 with their boys (8:31.90) and girls (10:21.66) as their distance program is regularly one of the best in Howard County.
  • The Glenelg boys won twice on their home track between the 1000 meter SMR (2:03.02) and the 4x400 (3:30.75) meter relay to close out the meet.
  • Long Reach's Aaron Souza and Howard's Theo Braimoh both cleared 6'2" in the high jump, but earlier misses gave Souza first place on the tiebreaker.
