No. 25: Quince Orchard High School

Quince Orchard has the unenviable position of being in the 4A West Region, and because of that they have only made the state championships as a team in two of the past four seasons. This year, they return with one of the better trio of runners in Montgomery County. The top returner is rising junior Chris Thoms, who got to another level in the spring with a 10:01.03 3200 at the 4A West Regionals. Ethan Mara and Matthew Owens give them two more returners who finished in the top 100 at last year's state championships. Beyond that, Coach Pelkey has more than enough bodies to find a couple more that can give Quince Orchard a very solid top five and put them right in the thick of things in what appears to be a very crowded, balanced region.
