No. 18: Towson High School
The Towson boys have slowly increased their team place at the state championships over the past four years, with last year's sixth-place result being their best finish since 2009. Even better news for the Generals is that they return five of their seven finishers from last year's state championships. Their top returner, rising senior Jonathan Ellis, finished 18th at last year's state championships. He also broke out at the state meet in May with a 9:49.10 3200, good for sixth in 3A. Sushant Dhaurali and Tyler Paul give Towson two more top-70 finishers from last year's 3A state meet. All in all, five returning runners with sub-18 5K personal bests give Towson a good chance to crack the top five at the state championships for the first time since their fourth-place finish in 2009.
