Check out the top 500 sophomore girls cross country 3 mile times in the state of Maryland as of September 7th in the MileSplit database. The class of 2019 dropped some fast three miles times to open up the 2016 cross country season this past weekend. Northern's Claudia Dolan opened up her season with a sixth-place finish at the Seahawk Invite; she was the third of four Northern girls to place in the top 12 as they went on to win the team title with 53 points. Mount de Sales' Samantha Facius was right behind her in seventh place, clocking the second-fastest sophomore girls time of the weekend at 19:04.40.

About 100 miles west, Poolesville's Nandini Satsangi opened up her season with a third-place finish (fourth overall) in the large school division at the Brunswick Invite.
