Top Maryland Athletes To Watch At This Weekend's Virginia Showcase

Ashley Seymour (Bullis) 55, 200, 4x200

Seymour has been a terrific addition to Bullis' arsenal of sprinters this winter. Her early-season performance of 7.09 at the Bishop Loughlin Games has only been surpassed by one person this season (Flowers' Pharist O'Neal). Seymour will have her shot at taking back the MD #1 spot in the 55 dash this weekend, while also getting her first head-to-head opportunity of this winter against Seton's Lauren Morgan.

Seymour ran a personal best of 24.81 in the 800 at the Marine Corps Holiday Classic and will get a crack at lowering that mark in the 200 at this weekend's showcase. She is also scheduled to run a leg on Bullis' 4x200 relay in what could be the race of the weekend with six or seven teams who could possibly go under 1:40.
