McDonogh School's Jada Seaman was Maryland's top performer in both the 100 and 200 meter dash at New Balance Nationals this past weekend with a 6th place finish in the 200 finals (23.82 PR in prelims), while taking 5th in the 100 finals with a 11.81 PR. Seaman showed off her range this year in clocking a MD #4 55.82 season best in the 400 meter dash and finished 4th in the long jump at Penn Relays with a leap of 19'3.25".

Maryland Top 10 Girls 100m Rankings (Full Rankings)
Frederick's Jaida Smith made her final Maryland state meet in her best one as she broke the state meet record regardless of classification in the 100 meter dash with a sizzling 11.63 clocking, while establishing the 3A meet record in the 200 as well in 23.91. She also claimed another state title in the long jump as well to cap off with 10 career individual state titles.

Maryland Top 10 Girls 200m Rankings (Full Rankings)
Unfortunately, Kelisa Cain's season was cut short and ended in mid-May, but she had an impressive double in her final meet of the season. At the Southern Track Classic in Virginia on May 11th, the St. Mary's Ryken senior Cain won both the 100 (11.82) and 200 (24.16) in season best efforts which ranked her among the top 3 in the state.

The state's fastest two quarter milers competed against each other everyday at practice between Nyjari McNeil and Cameron Hinton as one or the other held the top spot on the Maryland state leaderboard for virtually the entire spring. At the state meet, both went under 55 seconds in the same race with McNeil as the 3A state champ in 54.45 and Hinton as the runner-up in 54.90.
