4A Boys 4x100

Three legs into the fast section of the 4A boys 4x100 relay, things weren't looking great for the Northwest boys. Both Old Mill and Eleanor Roosevelt, flanking the Jaguars on each side, had handed off to their anchor legs a stride or two ahead. Northwest had some work to do if they wanted to win the event for the third time in four years. The good news? Flying down the homestretch was senior Anthony Woods, who had finished second in the finals of the 100 and third in the finals of the 200 earlier in the day. For some runners, such a workload might have proven to be too much at the end of a two-day meet, but Woods clearly had some juice left in his legs, catching and then blowing past the Roosevelt and Old Mill anchors within a matter of seconds. The win helped Northwest put the finishing touches on their fourth consecutive 4A boys team title.
