JUMPS
High Jump
This is DeVaughn's second appearance on our list. He was already our second pick for the 55m hurdles. He's also our number one returner for high jump this season. Out of all of the last indoor season's returners, he is the only jumper to have reached a mark of 6 feet and over (his current indoor PR is 6-3.5).
Edwin Niemandt - Tuscarora
Niemandt has a couple of top 10 finishes in the high jump event from the 2020 indoor season. He also boasts two top 2 finishes from the 2021 indoor season. His current indoor PR is 5-10, which makes him tied with Robert Steward from FireStorm Elite Track for our second spot.
Long Jump
Jevon Johnson - Oxon Hill
Johnson is our number one returner in the long jump event after being the only athlete from the previous indoor season to reach 21 (his current indoor PR is 21-1.75). He was previously fifth in Maryland as a sophomore and now ranks first as a junior.
Donovan Young - Gilman

Young is another strong competitor in the long jump event. Last indoor season, he ranked sixth in the state. Now he ranks second behind Johnson after an indoor PR of 20-9.75.
Triple Jump
Donovan Young - Gilman
Young makes another appearance in our top 10 rankings list. This time, Young is the top returner in the triple jump event. Last indoor season, he was second in the event for Maryland and 8th nationally.
Angelo Bowser - Old Mill

Bowser is another athlete to keep your eye on. During the last indoor season, Bowser finished eight at the East Coast Invitational with an indoor PR of 42-8.25, which made him the second-ranked returner.
THROWS
Shot Put
Kyle Warmington - Archbishop Carroll
Warmington is one of few freshmen to make our top 10 rankings, and he is the only freshman to have a number one spot. He scored an impressive 40-2.25 to take the top returner spot and become the only returner from the previous indoor season to reach 40.
Ethan VanMeter - South Hagerstown
VanMeter is our second-ranked shot put athlete with a score of 39-3.5, not too far behind the top returner, Kyle Warmington. VanMeter was sixth in the state for the event as a sophomore. Now, he's one of our top returners as a junior.
VAULTS
Pole Vault
Peyton Thomas - South Carroll
Earlier this year, Thomas became the second-ranked pole-vaulter in the state as a junior. Now, he is ranked as our top returner for this season with an indoor PR of 13-6.
Zack Kralec - Hereford
Kralec ranks second for returners in the pole vault event. After a height of 13-2, he was fifth in the state. With the new season, his rank has moved up, making him the second-best returner.
