What was your most memorable race/throw/jump/vault/moment? Why is that?
The MDXC Cross country race where the finish came down to milliseconds and I came out with a win.
Was there a certain moment or breakthrough race/meet when you realized you would be able to compete at a high level?
Indoor New Balance Nationals where I ran a 4:13 1600.
What are some bumps in the road that you've encountered when it comes to training for different events during the season?
It is definitely hard to train for a lot of events and I have had to overcome many mental barriers, but I have worked hard to push through them.
If you are writing a letter to your younger freshman self, what advice might you give them?
I would have told him to do cross country freshman year, but also to try new things and work hard at what you wanted to achieve.
If you had to pick: Track and Field or Cross Country, and why? (If you only run Track, then don't worry about explaining why).
I would say Track because I like racing track a lot more, but the environment in cross country is amazing as well.
What are your post-high school or college plans? If Running in college, explain why you picked that school.
I am running at Penn State University, I picked this school because it was not too far and I really liked the running program they had. They also have the academic programs I was looking for.
What is your favorite pre-race snack, tradition, etc.?
My favorite tradition is to wear my black Nike headband for my race.
Name the top Maryland Cross Country or Track moment(s) you have witnessed. Could be by the level of greatness or just something that really stood out to you.
Watching the Johns Hopkins 800 race which had a lot of talented people in it.
Who would you like to say "thank you" to?
I would like to say thank you to coach Dickerson especially for taking me this far. I would also like to thank my coaches other than Dickerson for being great motivators. My parents are also in need of a thank you because they have helped me become who I am and I never could do any of this without them.
