Watch Caroline Matthews finish top 10 at the CMC championships along with the Smithsburg girl's place 6th

Team Preview - Northern Garrett will come in as the favorite. They beat Smithsburg by 14 points at Regionals and will look for similar success at States. Obviously 14 points at a Regional Meet is a deficit that can easily be closed at a bigger state meet

Fallston will try to play the role of the dark horse. While projected a distant third, they have a very strong 1-2 punch with Gaby Murphy and Emily Atha who can both place in the top 5 and immediately put them in contention to get on the podium.

Individual Preview - There are 4 girls who have run under 20 minutes for 5k in the 1A Classification and the battle for first looks like it will be between them. Those four are Mary Delaney (Mountain Ridge), Caroline Matthews (Boonsboro), Gabby Murphy (Fallston), and Emily Atha (Fallston). Delaney has the best PR of 19:01 and has run great all year long but especially late in the season winning the Allegany Championship and the 1A West Championship.
