Bullis Bulldog Invitational Recap

Hands down the meet of the week! Teams from the east coast, such as MD, DC, VA, NY, DE, PA, and NJ, came to be seen and succeeded. Let's dive in!

Women's Sprints

Avery Lewis takes control of the sprints for 2 victories in the 100m and 200m dashes! She runs a US #37 time of 11.68 and a US #30 time of 24.09. Jade Ofotan MD #5 follows Lewis with a sub-12 performance in the 100m running 11.91. Mirai Bernard US #32 placed 2nd in the 200m, running 24.12. It was a Bullis sweep in the 400m taking 6 of the top 10 finishes! Mirai Bernard leads her team with 54.41 and a new US #14 performance. Sydney Sutton US #20 and Sage Hinton US #25 follow closely behind with 54.68 and 54.78.

Men's Sprints

The talk of the town came for the gold in the 100m! Brody Buffington runs a meet record time of 10.31 currently at US #11. Jazonte Levan MD #3 wins the 200m with a 21.56. Quincy Wilson MD #4 runs 21.65 for a close 2nd. The star freshman Quincy Wilson comes back for the 400m title with a meet record and US #11 performance of 46.74! OJ Singletary US #33 finishes 2nd running 47.85.

Women's Distance

Lauren Leath starts her senior night with a win in the 800m with a time of 2:11.83 ranking her Maryland #1. Katelyn Kliesch 2:11.84 with a close 2nd. Leah Stephens blows her competition away in the 3200m with a meet record of 10:03.58 winning by a minute! She now ranks #13 in the US.

Men's Distance

Tinoda Matsatsa never fails to showcase his talents! He wins the 800m with a new meet record of 1:53.05 ranking #38 in the US. Samuel Cohen 1:57.85 dips under 2 minutes for a 2nd place finish. Peter Imhof MD #10 breaks the meet record for a win in the 3200m with a time of 9:43.21.

Women's Hurdles

Myla Greene goes for the triple gold in the 100mH, 300mH, and 400mH for senior night! She sprints her way to a US #6 time of 13.57 in the 100mH. She fills two new US #2 rankings in the 300mH 40.96 and 400mH 58.17. Taylor Cox US #22 and Kennedy Flynn US #27 go sub 14 in the 100mH with 13.87 and 13.96. Gabby White MD #2 finishes 2nd 300mH with a 43.98.

Men's Hurdles

Marcus Mccoy takes a victory in the 400mH with a 54.91 ranking #24 in the US. Joseph DeRosier Wins the 110mH at 13.91 ranking him US #21. Elijah Williams 14.38 and Yougendy Mauricette 14.53 come in a close 2nd and 3rd. Yougendy Mauricette comes back for a meet record in the 300mH at 37.68 ranked US #13. Bryce Dudley 38.88 and Joseph DeRosier 38.98 come 2nd and 3rd.

Women's Field

Areyana Snowden wins high jump with 5-00.00. Kijana Johnson comes 2nd place with 4-10.00. Simone Cooper takes the win in Discus with a throw of 118-01. Nadia Lytle 116-01 finishes 2nd. Simone Cooper 39-09.00 with her second win takes gold in shotput followed by a tie between Cierra Gray and Nadia Lytle 37-09.00. Three ladies broke the meet record in long jump with Avery Lewis winning her 3rd gold with a US #16 performance of 19-07.00! Athena Stith MD #1 comes in at a close mark of 19-01.00. Kymia Bridgett MD #3 wins triple jump with a 38-04.50 mark followed by Alexandra Bonn 37-06.50.

Men's Field

Yougendy Mauricette wins gold in long jump with a US #15 performance of 23-09.00. Tequan Martin 22-04.00 and Aaron Massiah 22-01.00 finish 2nd and 3rd. Aaron Massiah comes back to win Triple Jump with a mark of 45-08.50. Carlos Mackall 44-08.00 comes 2nd. Robert Mitchell wins shotput with a throw of 52-03.00 followed by Tyree Archer 50-05.00. Devon Brooks 155-06 takes gold in discus. Prince Victor Williams 142-06 places 2nd. Kyle Davenport jumps 6-02.00 to win high jump over Tyrell Simmons 6-02.00.

Women's Relays

Leonardtown High School wins the 4x800 with a time of 9:58.02. St. Michael School wins the 4x100 with a time of 48.51. Oxon Hill High School wins the 1600 SMR with a time of 4:23.18. Bullis School closes meet with a 4x400 win of 3:49.55!

Men's Relays

Montgomery Blair High School wins the 4x800 with a time of 8:07.42. Iona Preparatory School wins the 4x100 with a time of 42.03. Woodrow Wilson High School wins the 1600 SMR with a time of 3:38.52. Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School wins the 4x200 with a time of 1:28.86. Bullis closes out the day with a meet record in the 4x400 with a time of 3:17.29!

Team Winners

Bullis High School girls win by a landslide by 95 points with a score of 136! Montgomery Blair High School boys win by 3 points with a score of 39. 

Despite the constant weather delays, athletes showed up and showed out. Bullis' seniors left their mark and are ready for new beginnings. Athletes came to make a name, break records, and climb rankings! We witnessed greatness. This is just the start of talent coming from Maryland.
