Class 1A Boys Preview



Team Preview - The 1A Boys race looks like it's Liberty's to lose. They come into this race as the heavy favorite and may be able to place all 5 in the top 10. They have competed well all season long, especially against bigger 3A and 4A schools, and perfect scored their 1A North Regional. The only blemish on their season was a close loss to Century at the Carroll County Championships, but that may provide the motivation needed to completely dominate this state meet!

Battling for second looks to be Catoctin and Bohemia Manor. Gabriel Riling and Santiago Canadas Fraga provide a very strong 1-2 punch for Catoctin and can both place top 5. 

Individual Preview - Individually, Riling and Fraga have the ability to win this race but it may be Gregory Schellberg from Liberty who is the favorite. He has run 16:09 for 5k this season. Riling has run 16:18. Those two will likely be together for most of the race and battling over the last mile for the win.
