Team Preview - Much like the boys, the girl's race should be dominated by one team, and for the girls that's Woodlawn. They are projected to score 80 points, almost double that of runner-up CH Flowers. They are led by 4 standouts in Destiny Coleman, Arayana Ladson, Nikyiah Williams, and Kenya Merritt. These four athletes are scattered throughout the 55m dash, 55m Hurdles, 300, 500, 800, 4x200, and 4x400, and all of them have the ability to medal. It's hard to see any way Woodlawn can lose. 

CH Flowers, Urbana, and Walter Johnson will battle for the 2nd place trophy. 

Athletes to Watch - 

Katherine Morey (Winston Churchill) - As a freshman, Morey has shown she is one of the best distance runners in the state. She will try to win both the 1600 and 3200m races. 

Pretty much everyone in the Pole Vault - It's hard to see the state record of 11-0 feet standing after this meet. Gabriela Umpierre (Thomas Johnson) has jumped 11-07 and will be the favorite, but she will have major competition in Bailey Smith (Urbana) who has jumped 11-06, Carson Boteler (Broadneck) who has also jumped 11-06, Brunell Owusu (Thomas Johnson) who has jumped 11-0, and Ava Wilson (Walt Whitman) who has jumped 10-6. With a state title and record on the line, this event looks to be one of the most exciting of the night. 

Woodlawn Sprinters - As mentioned above Destiny Coleman, Aryana Ladson, Kenya Merritt, and Nikyiah Williams will be a favorite to medal or win in every event they contest.
