One of the top upsets from the Frederick County Championships was Urbana freshmen Susanna Auderset storming down the final straightaway in the girls 400 to go from third to first in a matter of seconds to edge out favorite Camryn Blake.
Middletown's Reilly Caldwell wins a star-studded 1600 meter race at the Frederick County Championships including the likes of Julien Webster, Charlotte Kowalk, and Maria Carberry in a 5:05 PR.
After going 1-2 earlier in the 1600 (4:24 for Hewitson & 4:29 for Kowalk), Oakdale junior Evan Kowalk made sure he looked both ways to see Hewitson coming on late with a kick himself to win the Frederick County boys 800 in 2:00.98
Despite hitting or knocking down a few hurdles, MD #2 ranked Patrick Starrs of Oakdale still managed to win the boys 300 meter hurdles at the Frederick County Championships in a sub 40 second clocking.
