Photos by Ted Plunkett Georgetown Prep Classic and several other smaller invites this concluded the regular season of cross country for schools as we head into the district championships coming up this week. Two of Virginia's best in Anneka Wilson of The Potomac School and Ben Dejarnette of Atlee were winners at Georgetown Prep with Wilson setting a meet record time with a 17:45 5K personal best performance, while Atlee's Ben Dejarnette rolled as well to shatter the meet record time in 15:04 and help his team to a convincing victory with 65 points. Huge feats for both as Wilson became the first high school girl to ever break 18 minutes on the course, while Dejarnette dropped the old meet record by a whopping 30 seconds.
