No. 13: Walt Whitman High School
A slew of injuries disrupted what might have been an amazing season for the Whitman girls in 2015, but they'll be back at it again this time around. Rising sophomore Julia Johnson was a surprise at last year's state championships where she finished 20th overall (higher than her place at counties and regionals); she will be joined by rising senior Olivia Woods, who will try and regain her 2014 form when she finished 21st at states. Behind those two is a very deep returning squad - well over seven strong - that they will be looking for somewhere in the low-to-mid-20s range this year. With their large pack of returners they rank seventh on the 4A traditional returning team rankings, with a repeat of last year's fifth-place finish certainly not out of the question.
