Westlake's Jay Hall won the 2A indoor state title in the 3200 last winter, after finishing seventh at the state championships in cross country. The rising junior is the SMAC's top returner this season and will have his sights set on a state title at Hereford in November. As for the team scores, both the Calvert and Leonardtown boys seem poised for breakout years as the two top teams in the conference.
