Emily Knight (Severna Park)
Emily Knight's role this weekend will be one of spoiler. A similar role that she played indoors keeping Abbey Green from the distance triple and winning the 4A girls 800 meter title. The Severna Park junior Knight has been one of the top mid-distance talents in Maryland over the past two years as shown winning back to back 4A indoor titles in the 500 (1:15.74 PR).
The 800 will be her focus this weekend at the state meet as she is coming off a 2:15.69 personal best performance at the 4A East Regional. Knight has won a total of 7 Anne Arundel County titles over the past two years and will also be running a leg on Severna Park's MD #3 ranked 4x800 meter relay (9:30.10) on Friday.
