It's our final boys team rankings of the 2020-21 cross country season! For our final rankings we will include teams who competed in the fall as well, meaning Calvert Hall, Mount St. Joseph and Loyola-Blakefield - the top three teams from November's Baltimore Private Schools Championships - all break into the top ten!

1. Severna Park High School Falcons (hold)

With seniors Jake Gelfand and Carson Sloat leading the way, could this have been Severna Park's best team ever? They will have plenty of chances this spring to put together more impressive performances on the track.

2. Centennial High School Eagles (hold)

3. Mt. Hebron High School Vikings (hold)

4. Calvert Hall High School Cardinals (previously unranked)

5. Howard High School Lions (down 1)

6. Mount St. Joseph School Gaels (previously unranked)

7. Walt Whitman High School Vikings (down 2)

A team entirely of underclassmen swept the top six spots (17:31 average) to beat B-CC and secure an undefeated season in Montgomery County.

8. Walter Johnson High School Wildcats (down 2)

Andrew Schell could be one of the state's top runners next year, as he clocked a 15:47 5K against B-CC after dropping a 9:23 two mile on the track this past winter.

9. Loyola-Blakefield High School Dons (previously unranked)

10. South River High School Seahawks (hold)

In their last race of the season on their three-mile home course, the Seahawks averaged 17:01 in muddy conditions.

11. River Hill High School Hawks (down 4)

12. Marriotts Ridge High School Mustangs (down 4)

13. Dulaney High School Lions (down 4)

Sophomore Tyler Dailey turned in a great performance on Friday, beating out last year's 3A runner-up Peter Sorensen on Hereford's home course.

14. Long Reach High School Lightning (down 3)

15. Oakland Mills High School Scorpions (down 3)

16. Chopticon High School Braves (down 3)

Led by the Wedding brothers, the Chopticon boys capped off the season by cruising to St. Mary's County and SMAC titles.

17. Winston Churchill High School Bulldogs (down 3)

Junior Henry Burd, who clocked a 16:06 three-mile back in October, profiles as Churchill's top returning runner for next fall.

18. Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Barons (down 3)

The Barons come away from the brief 2021 spring season with zero wins, but still featured a top five that averaged 17:50 and will all be back next year.

19. Gov. Thomas Johnson High School Patriots (down 2)

The 1-2 punch of seniors Alexander Lombardo and Mack McKeever proved enough as the Patriots held off Oakdale and Linganore to win their first county title since 2013.

20. Glenelg High School Gladiators (down 4)

21. Liberty High School Lions (down 2)

It was no surprise when the Liberty boys took home another Carroll County title on Wednesday, scoring just 26 points.

22. Towson High School Generals (previously unranked)

For the first time in years the Generals will be graduating much of their varsity squad this spring. Peter Sorensen and Samuel Fields have been the team's top runners all four years.

23. Atholton High School Raiders (down 3)

24. Chesapeake-AA High School Cougars (down 6)

Chesapeake closed out the season averaging 18:27 on their quick home course, a mark that would have been much lower had senior Garrett Bivens (16:30) been joined by teammate Hayden Healey (16:01 season best).

25. Oakdale High School Bears (down 4)

They graduated much of their 2019 state title team and were still in the running for the county title (they lost to Thomas Johnson by eight points on Saturday).
