JUMPS
High Jump
Carrie Moore - Manchester Valley
Last indoor season, Moore tied for the highest mark (her indoor PR is 5-0) in the high jump event for a Maryland girl. Now a junior, she could possibly continue her winning streak and remain as one of the best jumpers in Maryland this season.
Nyla Cherry - McDonogh

Cherry tied with Moore last season for the number one spot, also making 5-0. It seems like it could be a battle between Cherry and Moore for who will be the best Maryland girls' high jumper.
Long Jump
Naiyae Evans - Bullis

Evans is ranked as our number one girl for long jump and she's got a lead; Evans is the only girls' returner to reach the 17 and 18 mark. Last indoor season, she was the second-best at long jump and seventh-best for triple jump. Now, she could be the top girls' long jumper and is currently ranked second in the state for triple jump.

This is Cherry's second appearance on our top 10 rankings list. She was already ranked first for high jump, and now she is ranked second for the long jump event after reaching a mark of 16-11.25.
Triple Jump
Manie Mevo - Quince Orchard
Mevo is our top girls returner for the triple jump event this season. Previously, she was ranked second in the state after a mark of 37-10.75, which ranked 36th in the nation.
Franklin is by far the best shot putter in Maryland and is a national contender. She has been the top female shot-put athlete for two years in a row and she could make it three this season. To add, last indoor season, she was ranked 5th in the nation.
Niya Crawford - Elizabeth Seton
Crawford ranks second behind Franklin for the shot put event. Crawford scored 37-7.25 at the VA Showcase earlier this year to take the second spot.
Ramos is our top returner for pole vault after being the only girl to reach both 8-0 and 9-0. Last indoor season, as a sophomore, she was third in the state. Now, she's ranked first.
Hannah Estep - Brunswick
Estep trails behind Ramos, taking the second-ranked spot. Estep was fifth in the state last indoor season. Since then, she's moved up three spots.
