Brad Jaeger Named Villa Julie Cross Country and Track Coach

When I talked to Brad today he seemed very excited about the possibilities at Villa Julie. He is very enthusiastic about building the program at the school. He also said that he will be recruiting local athletes heavily. Some of you may know Coach Jaeger. If you do not he is a person that has given alot back to the sport. He always willing to help anyone, and is always looking for ways to promote the sport in our state. Brad has worked in several areas throughout the years. He has coached both at local high schools and Loyola University. He is the founder and president of Triathlatic a company that promotes and directs all types of distance events along the Eastern United States.

In 1993, Jaeger was named one of the top seven distance coaches in the U.S. by Runner's WorldMagazine. He has also coached and sponsored some of the country's top multi-sport athletes including Greg Watson, the 2002 World Duathlon Champion; Troy Jacobson, the top-ranked U.S. Long Distance Triathlete; and Joanna Zeiger, fourth place finisher at the 2000 Olympic Triathlon in Sydney.

While competing at Saddle Brook High School in New Jersey in the early seventies, Jaeger won seven New Jersey State Championships and ran a personal best time of 4:09.6 in the mile. During his college years at the University of Maryland, College Park, he broke 47 seconds for 440 yards, 1:48.00 for 880 yards, and also ran a 2:28:23 marathon. As a triathlete, Jaeger has won several titles during his eight-year career as a top-level competitor.
