4A BOYS
Take a trip back to the start of the year to watch the Seahawk Invite. For many 4A runners, it was the first race of the year. Severna Park Boys finished second.
Team Preview - While Severna Park looks like the favorite to win another 4A state championship, they will have a much tougher test this year. Without their #1 Liam Hagerty, the Falcons will need to rely on their depth to come through with the win. They will lean on Christopher Nunn and Alex Lecouras to try to place in the top 15 while their next 3 are projected to be within the top 30. Winston Churchill has the best chance to upset the defending champs. Led by Colin La, they have the ability to put 4 in the top 20. If they can do that and have their 5th run well, they will be in a great place to pull the upset. Walt Whitman could be a dark horse as they only lost to Winston Churchill by 11 points at the 4A West Regional. They are led by a Sean Cunniff who has the ability to palace in the top 5 and lead his team to a strong finish.
Individual Preview - The race for the Individual 4A Boys Championships should be exciting as there are multiple boys in the mix to win. The favorite is Dulaney runner Tyler Dailey. Daily won the Baltimore County Championship and the 4A North Regional. He has a 5k PR of 15:38 when he ran that at the MDXC invite. Noah Fisher (Richard Montgomery) and Gage Osborne (Northwest) have been trading wins these last few weeks. Fisher won the Montgomery County Championship while Osborne won the 4A West Regional. Montgomery Blair's Freddy Alfonso and Walt Whitman's Sean Cunniff round out the top 5.
